Visual Dexterity Poster 08.25.2005

As part of the indentiy campaign for the fictitious Visual Dexterity design/multimedia company, I produced a poster for advertising purposes.

Description

The structure of the background image (a power plant plastered with graffiti) was run through the “Find Edges” filter in Photoshop, and then placed under a “Threshold” adjustment layer, leaving behind strong lines indicative of the structure of the original image. The delicate lines reinforce the theme of dexterity, while the unorthodox appearance of the image reinforces the visual component of the company brand. Similar to all previous designs, the dominant typefaces are Serpentine Medium and Trebuchet MS.

Visual Dexterity’s symbolism is also enhanced by the use of the fused eye/hand image, which provides a visual representation of the fusion of vision and dexterity that is inherent in the company’s focus.
